IPMS is a licensed, single point-of-contact commercial door contractor for facility managers, builders and government sites — full door and hardware replacement, targeted upgrades, and condition audits, backed by three decades of hands-on trade experience.
End-to-end replacement of doors, frames and ironmongery, specified and installed to suit the building and its use.
Targeted upgrades to locking, closing and access hardware — lift performance and compliance without a full door replacement.
Full condition assessments of doors, frames and hardware across your facility, benchmarked against current standards, with a clear remediation schedule.
IPMS is built on three decades of hands-on trade experience — from general fire and pass doors through to complex commercial and government installs. That history shows up as attention to detail: correct fire and smoke seal ratings, hardware that's actually specified for the door it's fitted to, and documentation that holds up when it's checked.
Straightforward single-door replacements can often be done in a day. Larger jobs — full-floor or full-building replacement — are scheduled around your site's operating hours and staged so entries stay usable throughout. We'll give you a realistic timeframe as part of the quote.
It depends on whether the door is fire-rated, part of an accessibility path, or load-bearing to the frame. We check this as part of scoping the job and will flag if certification or a permit applies before work starts.
An audit is a condition assessment — what's failing, what's compliant, and what needs attention, with a remediation schedule. A straight replacement is for when you already know a door needs to go and just want it done. Many clients start with an audit and use it to prioritise replacements.
Steel, aluminium, timber and glazed door sets, including solid-core, fire-rated and security-rated doors — whatever the opening requires, matched to the frame and the building's compliance needs.
It depends on door size, material, fire or security rating, and how many openings are involved, so we don't publish a flat rate. Send us the details of the job and we'll put together a proper quote.
Yes — doors can be matched for finish, colour and hardware style to fit with the rest of the building, particularly for street-facing or tenanted entries where appearance matters.
Doors on a required path of travel generally need to meet AS 1428.1 — this covers clear opening width, hardware height and the force needed to open the door. We factor this in on any replacement or upgrade along an accessible path.
If the door leaf and frame are structurally sound and not fire or security rated below requirement, a hardware upgrade is usually the more cost-effective fix. If the door itself is damaged, warped or no longer rated correctly, replacement is the better long-term option.
Both — new fit-outs and construction as well as retrofits, repairs and upgrades to doors already in service.
Based in Queanbeyan, servicing the ACT and NSW directly, and taking on other projects nationally including Defence and Data Centre work.
